Jugiong pool, a platypus sighting and a rest stop
Great little park with some facilities including a swimming pool. The pool opens in the afternoon and has reasonable entry fees too.
Today (Tuesday) all the shops in town are closed but there is so much history on plaques and so on to keep one occupied. Walked across the field to the banks of the Murrumbidgee River and while crossing the little bridge saw a platypus floating splayed out. What a bonus sighting, but where was the mobile phone camera to catch is unique little swimmer.

Swimming swans on the lake
While having breakfast on this hot morning there were around 30 black swans swimming out the front of the grassed area.
Great view here at Myuna Bay park reserve....

EHealth - Setting up online access to my eHealth record - Mmmmm a challenge and an error
So back in 2011 I registered for an australia.gov.au account. Then in July when registrations opened for the PCEHR I attempted to register online. Questions and answers must be provided so as I can prove who I am to the computerised system.
I was stumped by the one where the answer to the last visit to the doctor. A specific date was needed. Mmmmm my memory is fading as an annual visit is not on my urgent to do listing. So the options to register included visiting some government offices to continue the process.
I visited a medicare office in a large regional town in NSW and people were queuing out the door. There was no way I was going to join a queue that was probably included many sick people, or maybe they were cured as why else would they be in that glass partitioned room. Next option was to call my doctor to get that vital piece of information.
A quick call to the doctor would solve this - right! So calling from my mobile phone that currently does not have network access (that will have to be another blog) and the answering machine advised that my doctor of many years had ceased operating and obtaining records could be done through a PO Box. Mmmmm another roadblock to the PCEHR!
So visiting another smaller regional town where several federal government offices were collocated was tried. The lovely staff inside knew nothing of what I was talking about as 'the training' had not yet come this way. Mmmmm testing stuff for some maybe. Luckily I am persistent.
So a call to the freecall number for registrations and after receiving the drill about doing it all the other ways, I advised that I had been there done that and wanted to use the personal phone method. After hearing all the privacy stuff and that I would also need my bank account to be linked for incoming payments to me from 14th August 2012. Not because I do not use the medical system and to receive bonuses but to refund payments that I had already expended. So less than 15 minutes later I had my ID code.
Back to the ehealth.gov.au site to confirm and verify and agree to the terms and conditions etc.
Finally my record is blank and when looking for my Medicare services overview I get this:
